PENCARROW STATION 4WD Scenic Tour
Pencarrow Station is a sheep and cattle farm, situated at the entrance of the Wellington Harbour. The coastline includes a spectacular expanse of rocky beaches against a wild backdrop of native grass, flax and hills. Come out to an unspoiled, rural area which can be accessed via the Eastbourne Coast or Wainuiomata Coast Road. The terrain on the station is quite varied and includes lakes, river, sea, native bush, farm land, and cliffs.
Pencarrow Lodge is situated on Pencarrow Station, and is a wonderful, rustic building from which there are fantastic views over the station, Cook Strait, Kaikoura ranges and entrance to Wellington Harbour. The Lodge caters conferences, weddings and functions. Great photographic opportunities await, along with a stop for morning or afternoon tea, plunger coffee or tea and muffins or a picnic lunch.
