ABOUT US

Capital Adventure Tours Ltd (CAT Tours) was formed in 2001 by Dave and Anna Owles, as a result of combining an interest in four wheel driving with a love of the great outdoors. The 'capital' portion of our name is of course due to Wellington being the capital city of New Zealand. We are fortunate that although Wellington is a city, the rugged geographical landscape means that untouched wilderness can be accessed easily.

We purchased the Unimog as an army truck with a flat deck, covered with a canvas roof and sides. As you can see it has undergone a major transformation to the air conditioned, luxurious vehicle it is today. Passengers can travel 'off road' in a big, tall, four wheel drive with a great sound system and all the comforts.
